About the Project

Project Activities

The Workforce Summit is a 2 ½-day-long convening that brings together field experts, health care organization leaders, and policy leaders to develop a plan for policy and organizational change, as well as a research agenda that will ensure the health care workforce is adequate to meet the current and future needs of individuals living with serious and complex illness. This Summit is by invitation only, featuring a small group of experts from varied backgrounds, in order to foster effective collaboration and the development of actionable recommendations.

The Summit is shaped by a series of commissioned papers that discuss the current state of knowledge and policy regarding the health workforce in this area, the recommendations that have been made to date, and the barriers and facilitators of implementing those recommendations.

The results of the Summit and final versions of these papers will be disseminated widely via publication and presentation to maximize the potential for key stakeholders, funders, and policy advocates to act on the recommendations.
